The MINI marketing team is responsible for all digital marketing, national advertising, social media, and CRM (customer acquisition and loyalty). Working with a multi-million £ budget, all marketing activity is focused on supporting the delivery of annual sales target through the generation of enquiries. The team works with large marketing agency teams to deliver the annual marketing plan via a number of campaigns and model launches. This is a dynamic, busy and fun team – with a work hard, play hard attitude.
Whilst MINI is part of the BMW Group, it has a very separate brand identity and the smaller MINI marketing team works autonomously from BMW. Everything from dress code to office environment is reflective of the MINI brand. Being part of a small marketing team offers you the opportunity to get involved in many aspects of the marketing mix and the team structure allows you to take full responsibility for digital projects in addition to supporting the wider National Communications team.
What will you be doing?
Assist the MINI Digital Marketing team with the following tasks:
Promote MINI products and services online
Contribute to the weekly MINI Retailer network communications
Manage the national MINI.co.uk website including content creation and product communication
Optimise MINI.co.uk using a range of insight tools including customer feedback mechanisms
Enhance user experience across all digital channels for MINI
Collaborate with the MINI Communications team to ensure effectiveness across marketing campaigns
Manage MINI Retailer websites
Work with MINI Financial Services to ensure MINI has an effective online presence – including assisting with the promotion of finance offers
Work with the MINI Events team to ensure the best possible digital presence at all major events
Construct agency briefs for online content generation
Compile presentation slides for the Global Brand team and for MINI stakeholder meetings
Compile key information for the Quarterly Briefing document that is distributed to the agency partners
Support the management of the MINI online configurator
Get involved in projects outside of the job role – allowing you to have input into wider parts of MINI and the BMW Group
Qualifications and Experience
Currently studying for a degree in Business/Marketing or associated area with a predicted grade of 2:2 or higher.
A well rounded individual who has a good mix of numerical and creative skills.
A willingness to understand and use new technology and systems.
Excellent written and verbal English language skills, particularly grammar and spelling.
Able to use strong interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with agencies, internal stakeholders and brand partners to deliver projects.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks and take responsibility for their own time management – well organised.
Strong attention to detail to provide considered feedback to agencies and colleagues.
The ability to clearly understand the MINI brand tone of voice and creative style in order to provide relevant feedback and input on projects.
Useful to have a driving licence and vehicle, but not essential to fulfilling the role.
Excellent IT skills.
Team player, helpful, can-do attitude.
