Farrans Construction are seeking to recruit several Apprentice Engineers for a range of exciting projects across the UK.
Successful Students will be guided by the Site Engineer gaining engineering and providing key technical support in the site management of the projects they are assigned to. Apprentice Students will work alongside experts in all areas of the business where they will develop their knowledge and understanding of their assigned project and of Farrans working culture. Through mentoring and coaching students will be given numerous opportunities and challenges which will help support them build their career in a fast paced and stimulating environment.

Duties and responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of drawings and calculations for projects in all sectors of the industry.
Play a role in liaising with site engineers, clients’ engineers, contractors, subcontracts and statutory bodies, reporting back to senior engineers to ensure the delivery of programme is within deadline and agreed budget.
Assisting the site engineers, liaising with clients and carrying out site investigations.
Check designs, drawings and data to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to.
Working conditions
Successful apprentices will be expected to travel as part of their role to construction sites, company fixed locations or other locations as requested by Senior Management.
Qualifications
Evidence of at least 96 UCAS Tariff points at Level 3 e.g. A Levels, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent)**
Full Driving Licence

Passionate about the construction and building industry.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organisational skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
An excellent professional demeanour.
Flexible approach to working hours and various locations throughout the UK and ROI if required.
