Our role 

Working with the commercial team and site leadership teams the successful placements will be required to:

  • Ensure the preparation of interim applications, including works executed, materials on site and works by subcontractors is submitted to the Client’s team by agreed deadline.
  • Gather records to confirm additional payments where required and defend claims received from subcontractors.
  • Review, assess and reduce commercial and contractual risks.
  • Assist with the procurement of subcontractors.
  • Generate payments and distribute notices to suppliers and subcontractors, including the measurement of works and differences executed to evaluate final costs and accounts.
  • Contribute to the submission of weekly financial forecasting including the assembling of contract costs.

Our locations

Farrans Construction have placement roles available across the UK and Ireland. Successful candidates will be expected to travel as part of their role to construction sites, Company fixed location throughout the UK.

  • Strong Communication Skills (Written & Oral).
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem solving and decision making ability.
  • Aptitude for managing time and resources.
  • Strong focus on achieving results.
  • Proficient in using in IT and standard packages.

Our placements 

  • Must demonstrate a passion for a career in the Construction Industry
  • Must be working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related programme.
