Role Overview
Key Objectives:
To produce marketing communications materials in support of Aftermarket Sales activities and initiatives and develop communications input in support of Trade Shows. 2. To provide market data and analysis in support of Business Development’s Protect and Grow objectives across Large Commercial, Military, Regional & Business and Helicopter market sectors. 3. To establish, maintain and develop detailed Business Intelligence packs covering platform and channel across the above market sectors. 4. To support the Manager of Business Intelligence and Marketing to meet the Actuation Systems Aftermarket Business Development monthly reporting requirements.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
Collection & collation of market intelligence and calculation of market shares by platform.
Creation of monthly PDPR metrics by market segment and channel (MRO, piece parts and provisioning) for review by BD & team.
Undertake GAP analysis to identify market opportunities by market segment, platform and channel.
Develop data to feed AS strategic planning process and support the strategic planning process.
Support Business Development Strategic Projects initiatives (inc. secure and growth in China, India etc.)
Analyse customer purchasing trends to assess MRO and Parts market pricing by product.
Interrogate relevant 3rd party websites to identify and build data and intelligence on PMA activity of AS components.
Establish and develop competitor intelligence via both desk and field research.
Work closely with AS teams to gather and validate data and intelligence.
Business Intelligence Packs:
Provide data and analysis to enable the robust and accurate production of Business Intelligence packs across Large Commercial, Regional & Business, Helicopter and Military market sectors.
Develop Customer & Competitor business intelligence packs in support of Business Development account planning and management.
Marketing Communications:
Development and maintenance of marketing materials (including saleable product modification and ADs) for internal and external use.
Maintaining APS content in UTAS Sales & Customer Support “Red Book”.
Represent APS at Corporate Marcom events including trade shows, air shows, conferences etc. and input/participate as required
Sales Planning / Order Intake Planning Support:
Support development/formation of Actuation Services annual sales plan ensuring alignment with UTAS CSM Account Plans
Share Point Maintenance & Development
Create ‘hub’ for Business Intelligence data and information within SharePoint.
Develop appropriate library folder structure.
Establish dashboard of key metrics.
Ensure that file sources and links are current and maintained on a regular basis.
Qualifications
Personal Characteristics/Qualifications
High working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Good familiarity with Word and Access
Good communication and team working skills
Self-starter and Ability to work on own initiative
