The company

The SE Group is a collection of manufacturing businesses focusing primarily within the metal processing sector. We currently operate in a variety of industries, ranging from automotive to office furniture.

Through acquisitions, the SE Group is continually looking to add to its growing portfolio to enhance and diversify its position within the manufacturing sector.

Main purpose of the role

As part of our Graduate Project Engineering Programme, you will have opportunities to rotate through the organisation to gain a greater understanding of how the SE Group and its associated businesses work.

You will work in different areas of the business to help improve efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness. These will include: process development, continuous improvement, supply chain and feasibility studies. As a naturally strong communicator, you will work with our teams internally to ensure that we are working in the most efficient way. You will also be comfortable working and liaising with existing clients.

Duties and responsibilities

As a Project Engineer you will be exposed to several areas of the business. As you progress you will cover the following duties:

  • Estimating and providing quotations.
  • Supporting the Supply Chain process.
  • Materials Management.
  • Process Flow.
  • Feasibility Studies.

The individual

We are looking for a 2:2 degree (or higher) in either Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering (obtained within the last 3 years). You will have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You will also be:

  • A strong communicator.
  • Process driven.
  • A logical and precise thinker.
  • Willing to learn and improve.
  • In possession of a full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Able to start in June/July.

Salary and benefits

  • £20,000 - £25,000 salary (depending on experience)
  • 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays)
