Living in Prague

Grow your career in 'The City of a Hundred Spires'

Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic, and the 14th largest city in the European Union. Located in the north-west of the country, it's home to around 1.3 million people. Prague’s mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture is unparalleled. Divided by the picturesque Vltava river and linked by 14th century stone bridges, its maze of historic streets, gardens and parks constitute some of Europe’s greatest treasures.

Officially designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city’s history dates back a millennium, leaving renowned attractions such as Prague Castle and Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock. Modern entertainment options range from cinemas, theatres, galleries, museums and shopping malls, and the nightclubs and bars are lively until the early hours. Meanwhile, the cost of living is drastically lower than some of Europe's other major cities.

Last, but certainly not least, Prague just so happens to be where the best beer in the world is brewed (and savoured!). The city's value for money, thriving social scene and low crime rate make it the perfect place to settle and work.
