This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our specialist Acoustic Engineering team and be based in either Newcastle, Manchester or Edinburgh, to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction design projects in the UK and worldwide.
Under the guidance of our team of expert engineers, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise in the completion of noise and vibration assessments, computer modelling and design specifications. As your understanding and technical skills develop, you’ll liaise directly with clients to acquire, collate and analyse relevant data in order to produce high quality reports.
With the opportunity to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and with accredited professional development programmes from the Institute of Acoustics, we’ll make sure you’re well supported towards Chartership.
Accredited with a BEng degree level (or equivalent) in Acoustic Engineering or another relevant discipline, you’re ready to develop your expertise and start a rewarding career in this discipline.
Digital engineering is a big focus at Cundall, so ideally, you’ll have an understanding of Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB). An understanding of Engineering Optimisation Techniques, the principles of structured programming and basic knowledge in the application of Machine Learning would also be desirable.
With a real passion for excellence in acoustic design in the built environment, you’re organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities, you strive to meet deadlines and have a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.
Collaborative in nature, you’ll be able to empathise with your clients’ needs and utilise excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders. You’re used to using your initiative to overcome challenges and have a positive, can-do attitude.
