Xpedite Group of Companies Ltd was established in May 2004 and are a leading professional engineering service who achieve excellence for commercial and defence organisations by generating viable, proactive and value-added asset management solutions.

The Company continues to grow with over 95 personnel currently employed. The majority of our personnel are based in our Bath Head Office; however, we have remote workers who are based in varying sites across the UK.

What is the role?

As part of our continued growth plans, we are looking for Graduate Marine Engineers. You would be joining the team in providing through life engineering support to MoD and commercial environments, whilst completing a bespoke Graduate Development Scheme.

You should be educated to degree level in a STEM subject. You would work alongside our team of Technical and Junior Support Engineers in supporting our customers. We believe this is an exciting opportunity to allow the continued development of an engineering career.

We offer extensive on the job training and encourage our people to partake in the range of development opportunities available. The successful candidate will be required to complete our bespoke Development Plan which will provide a pathway for CPD, promotion to Technical Support Engineer and potentially Chartered status.

As a Graduate Marine Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer support activities across multiple MoD and service provider domains;
  • Applying engineering knowledge and judgement to provide technical support;
  • Technical authoring;
  • Maintenance management including optimisation and through life support;
  • Project Management activities;
  • Supporting Xpedite’s Intelligence Delivery Team in the development of future products and applications;
  • Completing activities defined by the development plan.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and reliable team members, whom demonstrate the following skills:

  • Degree qualified in a STEM subject;
  • An interest in the maritime environment;
  • Have a desire to actively participate in Continued Professional Development;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong IT skills (including MS Office programmes);
  • High ethos, high value with strong interpersonal skills.

It should be noted that to be considered for this role, you must be a UK national and eligible to hold UK Security Clearance at SC level.
