Gradcracker works here's the proof
Admiral is looking for current graduates with at least a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent qualification in Maths (or another subject that has a strong numeric focus) to join the Pricing teams of our Motor and Home Insurance products of our multi-award-winning business at its global headquarters in the centre of Cardiff. Start dates are flexible, but we are looking for someone to start summer/autumn 2019.
Don’t worry – no prior insurance or pricing knowledge is required for the role as full training will be provided. We are simply looking for analytical people who are keen to learn and progress, are good team players and are comfortable making suggestions and bringing new ideas.
We have consistently been recognised as one of the best companies to work for in the UK and we are now looking for motivated, ambitious and committed graduates, as we expand into exciting new products and services.
As part of our rapidly growing business, graduates at Admiral enjoy fantastic opportunities for career progression as well as our unique employee ownership model which includes a free share scheme open to all staff (after a year of service).
This means there is an added incentive to make a difference to the future of our business and make our business your business!
Pricing is responsible for setting the rates which create competitive prices for our motor and home insurance customers. Graduates in these teams are given the chance to get involved with everything from running pricing models using statistical tools, understanding the numbers within those models, and ultimately making proposals for potential improvements to the rating structure of our products and other business critical decision-making processes.
We offer a steady path of career growth with many of our previous graduates progressing to leadership roles involving regular contact with some of our most senior managers.
Thanks to the culture and structure of our business, the skills and experience developed within our Pricing team would be transferable to other analytical departments as we grow our product portfolio.
And, working in Cardiff, successful candidates would enjoy access to a vibrant culture of restaurants, shopping and nightlife as well as a gateway to stunning Welsh countryside including the sandy beaches of the Gower Peninsula and the rolling hills of the Brecon Beacons.
We're Wales’ only FTSE 100 company, with forward-thinking approaches and endless opportunities to test, learn and develop. Through innovation and organic growth, Admiral has evolved from a tiny startup into a multinational with a diverse product portfolio and a presence in eight countries.
There's a reason we've been named on the Sunday Times’ Best Companies to Work For 19 years in a row: Our culture, core values, and commitment to diversity has created an environment where people share ideas, make an impact, and feel valued. Our philosophy is simple yet effective: “People who like what they do, do it better”
