The Role

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to Information Systems across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Information Systems Graduate to be part of our high-performing team. You will be a key part of our site operational team, based at our advanced manufacturing site located in Telford (Shropshire).  

Purpose of the role

As an Information Systems Graduate you will support the Avara business operation by developing, integrating, and supporting operational system solutions, interfacing between Production, Engineering, IT, and third-party suppliers.

Your key responsibilities as an Information Systems Graduate are:

• Maintenance of the factory operation solutions including access rights, new users, security, and company settings
• Design, implement and support the company’s internal business and customer facing software and hardware infrastructure
• Documenting existing/new processes and procedures and updating as and when required
• Maintaining communications with users to advise of solution changes as necessary 
• Delivering training as required 
• Maintain and develop training and troubleshooting documentation and data standards
• Audit system performance and utilisation, maintaining KPI reporting 
• 3rd party and internal support calls analysis 
• Providing support in report writing and obtaining data extracts for departments across the business
• Identifying areas for improvement and streamlining and implementing approved changes 
• Aid on other integrations with other solutions 
• Liaise with the IT department on any IT Issues that impact the operation solutions and maintain a support issue log
• Coordinating testing of updates and issue update notifications and changes 

This role will be varied and at times challenging and is based within the factory and office environments. 

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a driven and ambitious Information Systems Graduate to join our team. To be successful you will:

• Have an Information Systems related Bachelor’s Degree (e.g. BSc Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems/Data Science)
• Have some experience of working with large data sets, good data analysis and reporting skills (using MS Excel) with a proactive and tenacious approach to problem solving
• Have experience of following IT/IS processes and procedures
• Have ambition to develop and build on existing information security skills and ability to take ownership of own learning and development goals
• Have a self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
• Have good interpersonal communication skills
• Have an inquisitive and forward-thinking mindset, and always be looking to learn and develop
• Be confident in building effective working relationships and working as part of a team.

We have a duty of care to our colleagues and wouldn't want you to spend a large amount of time commuting, so we require our graduates to be based within a reasonable radius of their placement location. Relocation support is available.
