Our new intake of graduates spent the week at Outward Bound team building and learning more about United Utilities.

This internship role involves the creation of strategies to support business Key Performance Indicators and leading benchmark programmes.
What you will do
You will provide support to stimulate efficiency and innovation within our Developer Services and Metering business area. This will be delivered through scoping and developing new products, policies and processes.
You will scope, develop, and implement research and development projects associated with Developer Services and Metering activities, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required to support continual improvement and increase performance, thereby positively influencing the Customer Measure of Experience (CMEX) and Developer Measure of Experience (DMEX) scores. You will also develop, maintain, improve, and update all technical literature and documentation in regard to all Developer Services and Metering activity, and continually review.
Supporting in the design and delivery of associated educational material for use by Developer Services and Metering, and other associated business areas, resulting from policy, regulatory or process change.
You will support Developer Services and Metering teams in order to develop strong technical capability and competence to deliver improved performance.
Developing robust networks across the UUW Wholesale business and other business functions, creating working groups and forums as required, to support developments in Developer Services and Metering, and identify opportunities across the wider business. You will demonstrate encouragement of a ‘solutioning' ethos in Developer Services and Metering, and ensure a culture of innovation and creativity is encouraged.
We are looking for a candidate that will be proactively involved with work generation, practical technical input, and supervision of Field teams across Developer Services and Metering, and provide technical assistance where required, ensure any customer issues are resolved.
You will liaise with external suppliers of equipment associated with Developer Services and Metering activities, to encourage new product development, product improvement and innovation.
What we are looking for
You will be educated to degree level in a relevant STEM discipline and/or demonstrable proven relevant experience
You will possess proven project management and organisational skills coupled with excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent report writing, business case production and presentation skills with the ability to demonstrate innovation and creative thinking
Proven experience in creation of strategies to support business Key Performance Indicators
Experience of leading benchmarking programmes
Demonstrable experience of provision of excellent customer service
