Who we are

Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) is an international bus and coach manufacturer with ambitious plans. We employ over 2,500 people worldwide and have more than tripled our revenue in the last 10 years, with an increasing proportion resulting from our expanding international footprint. This growth is attributable to our clear strategic focus – delivering lightweight, fuel efficient vehicles with industry-leading reliability, lowest cost of ownership and world-class aftermarket support.

Our goal is to be recognised as a world leader in the delivery of buses, coaches and aftermarket services which we will achieve through continued R&D, recruiting and retaining the best talent, and in turn, delivering unparalleled service.

The internship

We offer Business internships for students in their penultimate year of university. Placements range from eight to twelve weeks, allowing successful candidates the opportunity to fully understand an area of the business.

Interns will be engaged in live projects that have a real business impact, enabling proactive students to gain a truly cross-functional experience, a taste of a fast-paced commercial environment and the opportunity to grow their professional network.

We view our internships as a springboard, opening the door to a Graduate position to candidates that complete successful placements and show an eagerness to learn about the business. In recent years we have hosted numerous successful interns in various functions.

Entry requirements: All our internships require candidates to be on track for a First or 2:1 degree at undergraduate level and in your penultimate year of study. We’ll be looking for studying an engineering or manufacturing related discipline.
