Who we are

Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) is an international bus and coach manufacturer with ambitious plans. We employ over 2,500 people worldwide and have more than tripled our revenue in the last 10 years, with an increasing proportion resulting from our expanding international footprint. This growth is attributable to our clear strategic focus – delivering lightweight, fuel-efficient vehicles with industry-leading reliability, lowest cost of ownership and world-class aftermarket support.

Our goal is to be recognised as a world leader in the delivery of buses, coaches and aftermarket services which we will achieve through continued R&D, recruiting and retaining the best talent, and in turn, delivering unparalleled service.

The internship

We have engineering specific internships open to students in their penultimate year of university who are eager to pursue a career in the automotive sector. As a pioneer in bus and coach technology, an internship with ADL will offer exposure to live projects that could shape the future of UK and global transportation.

We view our internships as a springboard, opening the door to a Graduate position to candidates that complete successful placements and show an eagerness to learn about the business.

Entry requirements: All our internships require candidates to be on track for a First or 2:1 degree at undergraduate level and in your penultimate year of study. We’ll be looking for someone studying an engineering or manufacturing related discipline.
