The Church Wilne laboratory project is situated within one of Seven Trent Water’s existing water treatment facilities.
It is a steel framed construction built on piled foundations, clad with insulative panels and fitted out using materials conducive to end user requirements.
Now complete, the building is home to a mixture of laboratories, office and meeting room space and other auxiliary facilities.
The laboratories were fitted out to a detailed client specification and included laboratory furniture, small power, data and conditioned environments, which also included cold room stores.
Stephen George and Partners commissioned nmcn to deliver their new state-of-the-art architectural practice.
The building has been located on the final available plot within the Grove Business Park development. nmcn has previously worked on this business park, successfully completing three other high-end commercial developments.
Our client’s new architectural practice has been designed with concrete strip foundations supporting a steel frame.
This has been clad using a mixture of traditional masonry and cladding to all elevations. Internally the building is divided into commercial office space and open plan design studios, meeting rooms and break out areas.
Due to the nature of the client’s operations, we have fitted the building out with high specification mechanical and electrical components. These have been meticulously co-ordinated with the client's FF&E requirements to give seamless integration, but maximum flexibility.
This scheme saw nmcn deliver a two phase student accommodation complex in the heart of Sheffield city centre.
The two buildings incorporated over 750 student bedrooms constructed over an eighteen month period. Innovative design and construction techniques promise to achieve a BREEAM Excellent standard for both buildings.
Phase one of the scheme housed four student blocks and provided 535 apartments in four- and five-bed clusters over seven floors.
Each bedroom has its own en-suite, while each cluster included a communal living room and kitchen area.
Phase two saw the construction of an eleven-storey block with an adjoining glass corridor to a communal court yard area.
Design and build project comprising redevelopment of highway and footway infrastructure around the University of Sheffield campus in Sheffield city centre.
We worked with both the University of Sheffield, and Sheffield City Council to ensure regular updates were provided while construction was taking place, and to ensure the project was delivered in a timely and safe manner.
Close collaboration between all parties ensured the design was fully developed and approved within 8 weeks.
