nmcn work in partnership and collaboration with our customers, to deliver major built environment and critical national infrastructure projects across the UK. Our specialist engineering and construction teams bring multi-sector innovation and technical skill – from construction and infrastructure, to large-scale water networks and treatment plants.
Our Infrastructure business delivers major transport and infrastructure projects nationally to drive sustainable development and economic growth. Many of our projects involve complex logistical challenges interfacing with multiple stakeholders and coordination with third parties. Adopting a partnering approach from the outset, we work collaboratively with both our clients and project stakeholders to develop optimal solutions that provide best value through reduced risk and efficient delivery.
An industrial placement is a fantastic way to develop and hone your skills throughout your degree. It will give you the opportunity to take the skills that you have started to build, and apply them in a full working environment. At nmcn we proactively ensure that our interns are truly valued by providing you with the tools and support to make a real difference to our live projects. Not only will you be able to make a positive impact for our clients, you will then be able to take the experience and skills you have developed back to further your education.
We are looking for a high-performing candidate who is currently studying a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and wants to supplement their studies with an industrial placement. You will have the passion to excel and will have full responsibility for ensuring the Cost Control, Cost Management and Cash Management of combined schemes are adhered to. Whilst working alongside the project delivery team, your role will also include the assessment of contract risk and assisting with the valuations and submissions of claims for variations of projects delivered.
