The company was formed in 1987 as a Design and Manufacturing company specialising in Thick Film Hybrids and the engineering of micro-electronic devices. It was originally based in Whitchurch, Hampshire, some 15 miles from today's Custom Interconnect facility which it acquired in late 2005.
CIL's Charlton Road Factory has matured and grown to be one of the leading UK Electronics Manufacturing companies and has enjoyed steady growth and continued its policy of investing in plant, equipment and the staff to ensure that CIL's reputation for supplying high quality products at competitive commercial costs is maintained.

Microelectronics at CIL is a rapidly expanding department manufacturing a range of complex products and prototypes for the medical, scientific and industrial sectors. As an engineer or technician, you will work with our state-of-the-art die bond, wire bond and encapsulation equipment to set-up and perfect the assembly of cutting-edge silicon devices into microelectronic circuits and packages.
