Our Graduate Programme in Europe offers exciting career opportunities: It is a structured development journey of two years, based on stepwise rotation and an international assignment, which will allow you to understand different aspects of the company and to contribute personally from day one.  During the programme you will be supported and challenged through learning events, mentoring and personal development planning.

What you can expect:

You will support procurement projects, working with procurement colleagues and cross functionally to purchase goods and services for our business.  Initially you will provide analytical support to the Procurement team and gain a thorough understanding of the role of the function and how it adds value to the company.  Specifically, you will be encouraged to take responsibility for overseeing the procurement of particular goods or services and support major category spend areas, working alongside our supply partners and stakeholders.  You will contribute to key areas of Synthomer’s future procurement strategy, including the application of the latest e-procurement tools and the drive for improved Sustainability and Environmental Impact of everything we do.  You will learn how the Procurement Function in Synthomer contributes to sustainable Competitive Advantage through meeting business needs and driving functional excellence.

What we look for:

• Degree qualified – ideally a STEM-related degree at 2:1 grade / higher
• A Levels – minimum of 280 UCAS points 
• Communication skills / Team Player
• Highly numerate
• Aptitude for and interest in chemistry 
• Project Management skills 
• Analytical and Problem-solving ability
• Commercial and business awareness
• A careful and methodical approach with good attention to detail
• International mobility
