At the FCA, we help to protect financial consumers and make markets work well by regulating the conduct of over 59,000 businesses. Our ambition is to become a more innovative, more assertive and more adaptive regulator; one that fully capitalises on data and technology, ensures consumer protection and market integrity, and responds well to the challenges we face. We’re looking for bright, enthusiastic and values driven graduates to join our diverse and highly capable teams across the FCA.

FCA Graduate Programme: Sabrina's story

Find out more about our graduate programme!

The Technology & Change Division provides IT and change services to the rest of the FCA. There are many diverse teams within the division, from those who structure our systems to those who plan change and design and test solutions. This is a great opportunity to help manage the impact of change on the FCA and its processes and people. You’ll be aligned to one of three Communities of Practice – Architecture & Operations, Change or Technology Delivery – and you’ll have the chance to rotate within and across these divisions, building your skills during your time in Technology & Change.

Our architecture and analysis experts structure our systems. If you join our Architecture & Operations Community of Practice you’ll work across a range of disciplines that underpin the strategic and operational management of our Technology and Change division. These disciplines include strategic planning, architecture roadmap development, supplier management, design governance, financial management and resource planning. The rotations will provide you with the opportunity to gain a holistic view of the management and leadership of the whole division, turning strategy into operational delivery.

Our Change colleagues are responsible for planning change, and providing a pragmatic and collaborative approach to delivery. The Change Community of Practice offers you the opportunity to work across a range of disciplines within Change including Project Management, Portfolio Management, Business Change and Business Analysis. In the second half of the graduate programme you’ll have the opportunity to specialise in a Change discipline and work towards gaining relevant qualifications/accreditations.

Our Technology and Delivery specialists design and test our technology solutions as well as maintain and protect our IT services and systems. The Technology Delivery Community of Practice is segmented into three broad areas covering service and monitoring, agile product management and software engineering. Exposure to these disciplines will provide you with the opportunity to gain an understanding of how technology products are made, delivered and managed at scale in an organisation.

Learning & Development

As a graduate in Technology & Change you’ll complete the training pathway through our training Academy, which will equip you with all the skills you need. You will have rotations of six months and, in your last rotation, you will have chosen your community of practice to specialise in and commence the relevant qualifications.
