The Equities team makes active decisions in the Equity market where their ultimate goal is to generate superior returns for clients through fundamental research into companies and consideration of the macroeconomic environment.

Life at BlackRock

Wonder what it’s really like to work at BlackRock? Our employees from offices all over the world share their thoughts on what makes our culture so special and unlike any other financial services firm – and what’s kept them here.

Our team is known for

  • Active decision making in the Equity market with the aim to generate superior return for our clients
  • Multiple investment approaches to manage our portfolios across a number of different styles, geographies and capitalisation ranges
  • Identifying opportunities to seek out inefficiencies in stock markets which can be identified and exploited by proprietary fundamental research.

As an analyst you will

  • Research and understand different sectors across equity markets, learning the key drivers and dynamics specific to each sector
  • Make active investment recommendations to portfolio managers covering a specific region or sector
  • Participate in meetings with senior management at various external companies.

Job description

This programme is for candidates in their penultimate year and obtaining their bachelor’s degree or their master’s degree with less than 18 months' relevant full-time work experience.

Our eight-week Summer Analyst Programme is designed to provide students a challenging, meaningful and supportive internship experience that replicates as closely as possible the experience of being a full-time BlackRock analyst. Summer Analyst Programme orientation offers a thorough overview of the firm and the opportunity to hear from a number of senior leaders. Following orientation, interns receive on-the-job training and are given day-to-day responsibilities to contribute to assigned teams throughout the summer. The campus recruiting team also partners very closely with the Women’s Initiative, Multi-Cultural, OUT, and Veteran’s Networks to ensure the Summer Analyst Programmes can learn and interact with our employee networks.

The firm is highly committed to the Summer Analyst Programme and looks to the summer internship as the main pipeline into the Analyst Programme.
