Clarence has significant experience and expertise in the management of with-profits funds, having previously worked in the Asset Liability Management team of a large UK insurer. He also has experience working in the risk team of an insurer where he reviewed and challenged the internal model calibrations.
Other experience includes annuity de-risking from with-profits, analysis of change for matching adjustment, the valuation of illiquid assets and assessing the appropriateness of new asset classes.
Clarence is also active in several Institute and Faculty of Actuaries working parties across the various areas such as IFRS 17, retirement products and climate change.
