Vida Odoi

Electrical Engineer

"Centrica appealed to Vida because of its size as an energy company, which offered her plenty of job opportunities as an Electrical Engineer"

Vida joined Centrica in 2009 as an Electrical Engineering graduate, having graduated from UMIST with MEng Electronics & Microelectronic Systems Engineering in 2004.

She is currently working in Asset Integrity (Power Generation) on Arc Flash, Alarm Management, Transformer Issues and any other emergent work (e.g. CB life / operation issues). In addition she has helped to promote Centrica’s graduate and internship programmes and is currently training for a 50 mile Coniston Charity Bike Ride. Outside work she enjoys salsa.

Centrica appealed to Vida because of its size as an energy company, which offered her plenty of job opportunities as an Electrical Engineer, plenty of scope for training and progression and the opportunity to work with like minded people.
