About the Position

We are looking for Desktop Support Engineers to provide technical support for a mix of in-house and third-party applications. Technology is central to our business, and you’ll play a crucial role in making sure we can meet our trading objectives.

You’ll train alongside our seasoned team members in a hands-on capacity, learning how we make tangible and immediate improvements to our infrastructure every day. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to analyse and deconstruct technical problems will be needed as you work with our Windows, Linux, Network, and Cybersecurity administration groups to monitor systems and troubleshoot problems in real time.

Jane Street

At Jane Street, people like to work together—and play together.

A large part of this role is technical problem solving. The right person will listen patiently to the end user as you diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues at the desktop, server, and network levels. The feedback loop on resolving issues is immediate and gratifying.

This position sits within our IT Operations group, a team of engineers who monitor and manage a mixed environment of Windows and Linux across a physical/virtual computing landscape spanning three continents. Our decisions have a real and immediate impact on our colleagues as they focus on their daily work.
