Early Talent at Last Mile

Our Last Mile Early Talent Network provides our graduates, trainees and apprentices with opportunities to:

  • Enhance your personal and professional development through online training and guest speaker talks.
  • Learn about the wider business and industry from experts across Last Mile.
  • Build connections with other Early Talent colleagues through our dedicated Teams channel.
  • Provide feedback and ideas to shape the future development of our Early Talent programmes and activities.

Here’s what our current graduates have to say about the programme:

"The graduate programme has been a knowledge-filled journey to date with aid of helpful team members and facilitators. I enjoyed the way the programme was structured with a diverse training schedule which align with my objectives. I look forward to an exciting learning progress."

Lateef Adegboyega, Assistant Engineer - Year 1 Graduate Programme

"If you think you’d be thrown into the deep end, worry not; the first month of training sessions starts from the absolute basics and had been very thorough. Methodical and logical, the company has implemented multiple team-oriented fail-safe steps to ensure the work we complete is of excellent quality. As cliché as this may sound, stupid questions don’t exist with us; we know that everyone comes from a different background, so as long as you make it through the front door of the office, we’re always happy to equip you with all you need to be a better engineer. What’s more, I think our diversity rivals that of even the most popular of universities."

Aaron Chin, Assistant Engineer – Year 1 Graduate Programme

"Honestly, it (the Graduate Programme) is going above my expectation the way I am learning new thing and implementing it getting hands on experience. Everyone in the office is so friendly open for conversation and sharing knowledge."

Kamran Akhtar, Assistant Design & Planning Engineer – Year 1 Graduate Programme

"The training we’ve been provided throughout the 2 years has allowed us to grow into the role and improve skills required from us which we have picked up and practiced while completing our projects. The continued professional skills training has given me a different angle to tackle challenges in the workplace from time management to building relationships, which has proved useful as we become more independent with our own work."

"The L5 Developer Services Award I completed in my first year gave me a really good insight into the water and wastewater industry and role I would have within in. The course has also been useful as evidence of completed further learning which I have shown as evidence when seeking professional status within my chosen institute."

Premal Hirani, Junior Water Design Engineer – Year 2 Graduate Programme
