The Role

NSG Group

The NSG Group is one of the world's largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products for the architectural, automotive and technical glass sectors.

  • You will be a key member of our Intelligent Manufacturing Systems team, working in an agile environment on the development, roll-out and support of the NSG Group global Manufacturing Execution System.
  • The role is based at our European Technical Centre with opportunities for occasional global travel for short periods of time.
  • Key responsibilities of the role include:
    • Development – designing applications from start to finish, including coding, testing, debugging, documenting and installing applications
    • Change Management – taking ownership when developing new features, from design to delivery across all levels of the technology stack
    • ‘hack time’ – investigating new cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies, expanding knowledge, and prototyping new ideas and features for side-projects

What are we looking for?

You

  • Strong software development skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Someone who enjoys solving problems in a logical way
  • Someone who’s innovative and a great team player
  • Attention to detail, resilience and determination

Your Technical Skills

  • Committed to producing good clean quality code
  • Programming experience in any of the following: C#, ASP.Net MVC/Web API, JavaScript – particularly React, HTML & CSS
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, database development & administration, especially SQL Server, would be advantageous
