The Role

NSG Group

The NSG Group is one of the world's largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products for the architectural, automotive and technical glass sectors.

We are looking to recruit an Electrical/Electrical & Control Graduate Engineer to start as soon as possible. The Engineering function provides a complete project service to the group, covering detailed design work, construction supervision, installation and commissioning of new ventures and also upgrades to existing factories.

Graduates work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with periods abroad (6-8 weeks) during installation and commissioning phases of the project. Graduate engineers are given the opportunity to move around the different areas within the Electrical and Control section as part of their training. This will cover Electrical power engineering, distribution, Instrument and control, IT and systems integration. Although not essential work experience is preferred.

As part of your development programme engineering graduates are provided with secondments to our UK manufacturing sites to give you invaluable experience and an insight into the operations of the Group. Also, the successful applicant will be encouraged to become chartered engineer through our Engineering Development Scheme.

What are we looking for?

You and your technical skills

  • Accredited MEng 2.1 or above in Electrical/Electrical & Control Engineering. Applicants with a 2.2 will be considered but must have industrial experience
  • Covered a broad base of modules within the degree covering the electrical engineering area as well as control and systems engineering
  • Willingness to travel abroad
  • Industrial or work experience
