About the role: 

The role is within the Single Serve – compatible capsules program team. The main focus of the placement is to help building fundamental understanding and linkage between coffee properties and in-cup quality delivery. As part of the team, you will be supporting process improvement and technology projects, trials execution delivering prototyping and samples to the team and other functions from our pilot line as well as supporting product qualification in JDE manufacturing site. 

Key responsibilities of the role:  

  • Project management to provide technical solutions to troubles on time and manner 
  • Management of projects and new processes through pilot line trials and experiments
  • Apply fundamentals knowledge for continuous improvement working closely with R&D colleagues and manufacturing teams
  • Support large scale qualification projects through data collection / analysis and reporting
  • Communication with key stakeholders and project team members to find solutions from concept & design to launch – including visit to JDE manufacturing location.
  • Understanding the impact of product design in final applications 
  • Processes: learn about the JDE processes and be compliance with them
  • Quality: comply with JDE quality requirements

For this role as an intern, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Studying for degree within Engineering discipline or Food Technology
  • Ability to manage projects and communicate in a clear efficient manner creating clarity and understanding.
  • Pro-active, organised and able to learn quick 
  • Focus and drive to create committed outcomes including reporting.
  • Willing to travel as part of the role
