We are offering a one-year placement to assist with our finance capability. This is a great opportunity for university students to work alongside our Finance Manager as part of a sandwich degree course.

You will gain valuable ‘hands on’ experience working in the thick of the finance team and thoroughly understanding key functions and how finance sits within the business.
We are looking for a hardworking and lateral thinking student who can analyse scenarios and find suitable solutions and who is excited to learn more about our fields of expertise in nuclear and fusion energy. Someone who is passionate about creating a low-carbon future.
You will be working towards your relevant degree in Finance / Accounting or a related subject and have attained a 2.1 or above in your 1st year. Competency in MS Office and have an understanding of financial software packages (SAGE is the preferred).
Your attitude is going to be key. You will have to demonstrate to us that you are methodical and well organised, that you can take responsibility and be accountable for tasks and delivery deadlines. That you have the drive and commitment to contribute both technically and commercially to a range of tasks and be flexible adaptable and keen to learn. We are a busy business with multiple tasks to juggle, we need you to remain focussed and diligent to ensure our finance function remains accurate at all times. It is really important that you can communicate effectively with the wider teams and use your initiatives to drive efficiencies within finance.
