Monodraught are delighted to share that we were named in the Sunday Times BGF 10 Green Tech to Watch in the 20th anniversary edition of the Sunday Times Tech Track 100.
The list recognises private UK based firms that have significant potential to help protect the environment, from cutting CO2 emissions to pioneering new forms of clean energy. We would also like to congratulate the other firms on the list.
We are extremely proud of our heritage of developing sustainable solutions. Our in-house design team model the building, select the most energy efficient equipment and design controls to maximise comfort whilst reducing running costs. Clients include Tesco, Eton College and the Indian Navy. We calculate that we have saved 400,000 tons of CO2 over the past two decades.
The company’s goal is to minimise the carbon footprint of every building that uses our systems. In our own business, 80% of our suppliers come from within 100 miles of our Head Office and we give back to our local community through our charity partnership with Buckinghamshire Mind. We strive to continually innovate, remaining focused on delivering highly engineered products that allow end-users to live and work in a more natural environment.
In 2018 we were granted the Queen’s Award for Innovation for our Cool-phase product. This solution uses phase change materials to provide intelligent control of ventilation and cooling using phase change materials.
The system works all year round, monitoring temperature and CO2 levels to determine exactly how much fresh air and cooling is required. It uses our patented phase change material that acts as a thermal energy store in conjunction with extremely low energy fans to cool the building. It is modular and can scale to suit the building type and size.
There can be a high cost to business of maintaining a comfortable working environment with regulated temperature and fresh air. This system delivers significant efficiencies for businesses, as well as dramatically reducing their environmental footprint.
Over the past few years our business has continued to evolve and grow so that we can offer a range of ventilation solutions for a building, always using data and performance analytics to ensure the optimum performance to maintain energy efficiency.
We continue to monitor performance post-installation ensuring that it continues to be effective year after year. We provide on-going service and maintenance of our installed products which ensures systems are all always running at optimum performance whilst keeping costs to a minimum.
