It’s an exciting time to be part of our evolving Tech function. Under new leadership and through exciting new partnerships with cutting edge tech companies we are reinventing how we serve our patients, healthcare professionals and our consumers. As a Tech summer placement we expect you to bring some innovation, fresh thinking, high energy and even some disruption to GSK ways of working.

Do more, feel better, live longer

To become the world’s most innovative, best performing and trusted healthcare companies, we must take on the challenges together and change the world for the better.

What you'll learn

As a Tech summer placement, your time with us will be truly what you make it. You’ll find yourself in a real role, adding immediate value to our Tech function. You can expect to work collaboratively to implement our tech strategy and deliver on our ambition to empower our business through business-led, tech-driven opportunities. Beyond this, you will learn about the latest technologies, business processes and the strategies behind delivering key solutions in an agile environment.

We have opportunities for those of you wanting to get ‘hands-on-keyboard’ experience in a global business – for example, using your programming know how to help to roll out our RPA (robotic process automation) strategy or perhaps working in one of our Ux labs. You could also find yourself aligned to a specific team, such as Cyber Security. During the placement you will be part of an international community of like-minded graduate tech talent, who alongside their day jobs help shape and run events for the community, such as; tech debates, podcasts, learn-a-thons, internal ted-talks and hackathons.

If you perform well in your placement, you could be fast-tracked onto our Tech Future Leaders graduate development programme following your final-year studies.

Application deadline: Applications will close when we have filled our assessment centre dates. We recruit on an on-going basis and prioritise applications based on the application date.

We’re 100% open to all talent – whatever your gender, marital status, religion, age, colour, race, sexual orientation, nationality or disability. We want to recruit the right people for GSK from the widest possible backgrounds, so we can better serve the diversity of our patients and consumers. And also because it’s the right thing to do.
