ViiV Healthcare is a specialist company established by GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer in 2009, with the addition of Shionogi in 2012 after working together on the development of several drugs. We are focused solely on the research, development, and commercialisation of medicines to treat HIV.
Our aim is to take a deeper and broader interest in HIV/AIDS than any company has done before and take a unique approach to deliver new and effective HIV medicines as well as supporting communities affected by HIV.
With a Supply Chain role in ViiV Healthcare you will be part of a team that is integral to our success. You will work in an agile, innovative, and supportive team, with accountability for the delivery of key business projects. Throughout the placement your team will offer support through training and development to ensure that you are able to grow and take away value experiences from the year.
The Supply Chain IP student is a functioning member of the Supply Chain team and supports delivery of our objectives through assuming responsibility for several tasks. They will get an opportunity to join the corporate Supply Chain team, be exposed to many areas of a pharmaceutical company and specifically the end-to-end Supply Chain, as well as gain experience and develop significant skills in day-to-day problem solving across a variety of supply chain scenarios.
Leading the day-to-day operational management of ViiV’s medically critical product which may include preparing for and leading the key governance meetings, day to day issue resolution, daily contact with GSK Supply Chain and Pfizer manufacturing sites and reporting to management.
Currently studying an Undergraduate Degree in any discipline.
Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK or ROI university for the duration of your placement.
If you have already graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Master's, you are not eligible for this programme.
