About IAG Tech

IAG Tech drives the technology behind some of the biggest and most successful brands in global aviation. There has never been more of an exciting time to be part of IAG Tech.

We have started the journey. We are leading the way to Technology Excellence.

We want to attract, develop and retain the best technology and digital experts to help us to achieve our vision of Technology Excellence and we strive to become the very best at what we do. Our mission is to increase shareholder value, accelerate business performance, delight customers, enable employees and protect our business through the innovative and agile use of technology and data.

From the start, you will play a role in providing technology to our many airlines and associated companies - including British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus - enabling them to operate in the most efficient and effective way.

You will be empowered to challenge the norm through the creative use of technology, helping to transform the customer journey for millions of passengers.

Development and Progression

Our two-year Graduate Programme is designed to give you the breadth and depth of experience you’ll need to be future leaders. And you won’t have to wait around to get involved.

Imagine working in an agile environment on topics such as Operations and Infrastructure, Cyber, Digital, Architecture, Programmes and DevSecOps. All of these are just a few of the exciting placements available.

You’ll take day-to-day accountability in your role and be involved in strategic projects that will develop your business, personal and technical skills from your very first day.

You’ll get to see and experience our business from a number of different angles. As part of our graduate intake, you will have the opportunity to shape your own journey, selecting up to six rotations from a variety of exciting placements on offer.

If you would like to specialise, you can choose one of our four pre-defined placement streams – Innovation, Strategy and Architecture, Data Science, Software Development, or Cyber. Or if you would prefer to experience a broad overview of technology you can opt for our individual stream, where you can self-select from the varied placements on offer across IAG Tech.

Your Development

You will be able to shape and personalise your own direction, build on your strengths, broaden your skills and accelerate your career within an organisation that is fast-paced, diverse and constantly evolving.

With real responsibility, you’ll gain specialist and broad knowledge and solid experience. Throughout the programme, we will support and nurture your development – and ensure you are given the chance to learn and practise the skills required for future leadership roles in a safe environment.

Professionalism is one of our core values and so you can expect to undertake industry accredited training alongside your graduate peers. Additionally, the development you receive on the Graduate Programme will give you the opportunity to work towards obtaining an industry recognised BCS professional standard, such as Registered IT Technician (RITTech), Engineering Technician (EngTech), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), and Chartered IT Professional (CITP). This will enable you to be placed on a formal professional register, providing independent endorsement of your skills and competencies. This recognition will take your development beyond the Graduate Programme, supporting you in becoming the best in your field.

You will be employed on an IAG GBS contract and upon joining you will receive an annual salary of £30,000 in the UK, €32,000 in Ireland and €26,000 in Spain. You will be assessed throughout your two-year programme, with successful performance leading to salary progression at key intervals. We actively create opportunities for people to grow in their career. After the programme, your technology career could develop in many different directions – determined only by your ambition and business need.

What we look for

You can come from any degree discipline, but you will have attained, or be predicted to attain, a 2:2 degree. We are most interested in your passion and motivation for a career in technology, and in your analytical and logical approach.
