Where the STEM jobs are
Gradcracker works here's the proof
"I knew it would be a great opportunity to develop myself and get well-rounded experience."
The KBR role stood out to me as they are an an industry leader in having a range of interesting projects and producing quality engineers. I knew it would be a great opportunity to develop myself and get well-rounded experience.
I am really enjoying being a part of the group of new starters on the recently rebranded graduate scheme, which I think has been a great success so far. The senior management have been very hands-on with us and seem to be genuinely interested in how we are doing. I have learnt so much since I started and I am sure that will continue throughout my time at KBR.
I have already completed my first rotation and been moved onto something completely different. I have gone from doing a study into the gains to be made from digitalisation for engineering companies for one of KBR’s clients, which involved a lot of research and presentation, to going onto a project in detailed design working with the instruments team. After this 4 month rotation I will move on to doing process engineering work.
People always have time to answer questions and offer advice to graduates, which makes it an easy place to work. There are a lot of opportunities to take part in extracurricular activities, both through Club KBR, who organise the weekly football match I play in every Tuesday after work, and with IMPACT, the graduate network, who organise socials such as curling (don’t knock it til you’ve tried it) and go-karting. Also, having every other Friday as an agreed day off is a massive bonus for all of us.
