We have an opportunity for a Lead Electronic Technician to join our Aerospace team in Edinburgh. COM DEV Europe (a Honeywell Aerospace company), is a global designer and manufacturer of space hardware and systems. We are world leaders in the production of space-qualified passive microwave equipment and specialised electronics. In addition, we provide micro-satellite mission solutions ranging from mission concept studies to launch and operations.

Lead Electronic Technician responsibilities

  • Carry out assembly tasks on flight grade space hardware
  • Review assembly methodology and approach, identifying potential process improvements
  • Generate and validate process documentation as required for both project and development work
  • Provide technical support to engineering and product assurance (PA)
  • Complete assigned tasks within schedule requirements
  • Provide input at design review stage and MRR’s (Manufacturing readiness reviews)

Qualifications

  • Microwave product knowledge would be advantageous
  • Hold an electronic or equivalent qualification 
  • Assembly and Test experience in a production environment
  • Experience in middle to high volume as well as specialist project work
