About Us
We are an award-winning company who develops and supports recent graduates from underrepresented groups to find and grow careers within the technology sector. We want to see greater equality within society and choose to focus on potential rather than ‘proven’ experience.
Our leading full-time professional training in data engineering and analysis will give you the technical skills to add value from Day 1 and the professional skills and behaviour that will amplify your impact throughout your career.
We invest heavily in supporting our trainees and consultants to give them the confidence to try things and learn from their mistakes. Our consultants consistently feedback that they felt “work-ready” from the start while clients are impressed by how quickly consultants become part of the team.
Training is followed by 2 years of employment with us while embedded within one of our client’s teams. If we cannot place you with a client we will continue to help you find a role in tech - over 90% of those who completed training, from STEM and non-STEM backgrounds, started roles in technology in a wide range of industries including consulting, finance, retail and engineering.
Our Offer
3-4 months of proven high-quality technical and professional training in a wide range of data skills that are in high demand, followed by work using technology to make a positive impact;
Training like it should be: “This is what university should have been” and “by the end I was work-ready” - even though it is largely remote learning and unpaid our consultants consistently praise our level of support with attentive coaches who make themselves available through regular 121s and low trainee/coach ratios;
Training is just the beginning: we provide coaching, mentoring, technical support, high-performance mindset training and more while you work for our clients with the aim of life-long success;
Our commitment to you is to get you into a technology role: we can’t guarantee a particular role or industry but we work hard at placing people where they have the opportunity to thrive;
You don’t need coding experience to apply as we will offer support to ensure you are ready for the technical assessment at the end of our hiring process. We will also support you before the start of training so that you are where you need to be;
We will provide laptops and cover any travel and accommodation expenses during training;
Location - Mostly in London but may be elsewhere.
What makes us different?
We want to help you get into your first role in tech, but we are most interested in you being successful throughout your career. We believe that excellent training and support at the start of your career sets you on the right trajectory for success; we are building world-class training and an alumni network that aims to lift up each member.
And it works. The vast majority of our trainees obtain technology jobs and our consultants have a growing reputation for the positive impact they make on our clients. By the time you finish your time with us, you will have the technical and professional skills to enable your goals and the community to support you through the challenges that come your way. Want more proof? At the 2024 dataIQ Awards we won both the Best Data Employer Award and the Best Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award.
We won’t just kickstart your career. We’ll amplify it.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll fit right in at Sigma Labs if you:

will go above and beyond to be a difference-maker.
As a B-Corp with social mobility at the heart of our mission, we particularly want to hear from people who are not well represented in technology and high-performance jobs including female candidates and those from low-income backgrounds.
