AMETEK’s Financial Management Programme starts with you! Our commitment is to provide you with challenging professional assignments to prepare you to become part of AMETEK’s Financial Management team at completion of the program. Additionally, you can expect the following:

  • Individual Development Plan- to thoughtfully track your career decisions
  • Personal Mentor – single contact to provide you with guidance and advice throughout the 3-year programme
  • Networking Opportunities – periodic events for you to build relationships with other rotational program participants and AMETEK colleagues
  • Educational Sessions – to be delivered by AMETEK executives and outside speakers to impart knowledge of the company and management best practices
  • Financial assistance for each geographic move throughout the programme and beyond
  • Global Operations – a working visit to at least one AMETEK facility outside of the UK

You will participate in three rotational assignments based in our offices in the U.K, each lasting approximately 12 months. The assignments will include a variety of experiences in unique business environments.

Examples of rotations:

Cost Accountant:

  • Member of Cost accounting team at manufacturing site

Responsibilities may include:

  • Inventory costing, setting of inventory standards, physical inventory management, variance analysis, working capital improvement initiatives, excess and obsolete inventory analysis.

General Accountant/Financial Analyst:

  • Member of Cost accounting team at manufacturing or headquarter site

Responsibilities may include:

  • Financial statement reporting, capital expenditure analysis, variance analysis, budget to actual reporting and analysis, business performance/KPI setting, calculations, monitoring, and improvement initiatives.

Internal Auditor:

  • Member of Audit services team
  • Responsibilities may include:
  • Performing operational and financial audits at our operating locations; assist businesses in identifying controls and opportunities for improvement; support due diligence and/or integration of acquisitions.

Project Based Assignments (based on business need)

Following the rotational programme, you will have the opportunity to interview for a variety of financial management roles at AMETEK’s operating facilities.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Flexible and adaptable to new situations
  • Inquisitive nature and a passion for solving problems
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team contributor
  • Ability to relocate multiple times throughout the UK for expanded career opportunities
