Do you want to be part of an exciting and dynamic year-long placement within the R&D team?
Do you want the responsibility to manage your own project whilst also working as part of a fast-paced team?
This full-year placement will be spent in the lifecycle of novel product design encompassing a broad range of tools & technologies underpinned by subject matter expert mentors. There will be strong interaction with numerous different departments within the business.
What you can expect:
Opportunities to Develop CAD/FEA skills alongside practical metrology principles
Work on concepts and drive them towards prototypes for testing and evaluation under the mentorship of a senior or principal engineer
Communicate effectively through a range of methods to ensure all stakeholders can make informed decisions and see the influences these choices have on the next stage of a project.
Experience design reviews with key stakeholders both technically and in the context of both customer needs and the commercial requirements.
BEng or MEng Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent) with an expected 2:1 classification as a minimum in your second year
A can-do, open-minded approach to problem solving
CAD knowledge (SolidWorks preferable)
Numerical analysis skills, using hand calcs through to simple FEA/CFD computation
Strong communicator through various mediums
