Job Description

Mechanical Engineer responsible for developing a proposal for a range of accessories for TH product line and assist in various projects including fixture support for applications such as gears and bearings. As a graduate Engineer, you will use your engineering skills to support new product features with the guidance of our product management team. Alongside ongoing training, mentoring and development, you will be responsible for work on:

Developing a proposal for a complete accessory range

Working with the Business Development

  • Make a complete analysis of Taylor Hobsons Competition with respect to accessories and fixtures
  • Produce an accessory range proposal identifying missing items and features within existing range

New Product applications

Working with the Business Development Managers and applications team

  • Assist in various projects including fixture support and part manipulation for measurement applications such as gears and bearings.
  • Create part drawings and CAD models using Solidworks

Key Requirements

Must be working towards a BSC or MSc in Mechanical Engineering underpinned by strong all-round communication, analytical skills, and a real commitment to teamwork. 

Along with appropriate qualifications, you’re the sort of person who reaches out to peers and co-operates with managers to establish collaborative working relationships. Readily able to develop a robust product knowledge rapidly, you’ll also bring:

  • Creativity/innovative flair
  • The ability to drive projects to completion
  • Confidence and integrity
  • A background in Solidworks is a requirement
