The Opportunity

Stroud Associates, Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers, was formed in 1997. The company offers a broad range of services on a wide variety of projects, both on-site and by office-based design. Projects span everything from general structural reports and site surveys, to commercial construction and roadway and drainage design.

We are a growing company with an ever-expanding workload and are keen to expand the business. We are looking for talented individuals to share this journey and develop their career with us.

As a Graduate Civil and Structural Engineer at Stroud Associates, you'll work on a variety of exciting projects across a range of sectors. Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll have the opportunity to learn from colleagues including senior, experienced staff, and communicate with people outside of the project team, including clients. Successful candidates will receive training in relevant software, as well as support towards achieving chartered status.

We require graduates who have a degree specifically in Structural Engineering or Civil and Structural Engineering.

Ideally you'll have a 2:1 or above. A master's degree would be preferable.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone that would fit in well with our small, family-like team. We have a constant high workload with numerous projects on the go at once, so you'll need to have the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.

Good verbal and written skills are essential, as is a good telephone manner.

Experience in AutoCAD is highly beneficial. Experience in Revit, master series structural analysis software (or other similar analysis software) would be beneficial but not essential as training can be given.

We're only accepting applications from graduates who can demonstrate evidence of their right to work in the UK as we are unable to support visa applications.

What we offer

  • A varied and interesting workload as we have a constant flow of small and medium size projects of varying complexity.
  • Fast career progression support for graduates who are keen to progress to chartered status.
  • Competitive rates of pay
  • 5 weeks' holiday
  • Flexible working hours.
