The society is run by Chemical Engineering students and is involved in many events aimed at all engineering students. We pride ourselves on being a society which directly engages and interacts with students and is dedicated to make them better engineers.
The society not only provides fun social activities but also tries to benefit students by being committed to helping them with academic or personal issues. One of our key priorities is to emphasise the importance of industrial placements to our fellow students through support and encouragement by many of us who have previously completed industrial placements at companies including Bosch, BASF, Solenis, Hyrcrome and GSK.

On the 24th January, the chemical engineering society team welcomed all students to refreshers' fair in the student union! Games were played and many sweets given, as well as our new members being given a free notebook! We loved meeting everyone and look forward to seeing everyone throughout the course of the year.

Alumni DinnerEvery year the alumni dinner is a HUGE success, recently with alumni from graduating years of 1967-2021. Seeing how everyone has progressed with their degrees after graduation is a true inspiration and an event lecturers also love to attend. |

SocialsSocial time is another key aspect of our society; bowling, karaoke, games nights and laser tag are all amazing FUN activities on offer. This year, games night, escape rooms and go karting are also on the cards! |
