Gradcracker is the UK's careers website for STEM students. It is where employers attract candidates for their degree apprenticeship, placement and graduate roles.
And Gradcracker is much more than an advertising medium. Its position at the centre of the UK's STEM recruitment sector furnishes it with a store of knowledge and experience which it shares with students, parents, educators, employers and influencers.
Gradcracker was launched in 2007. On a typical day, it hosts over 350 employers and carries over 9,000 degree apprenticeship, placement and graduate opportunities. Daily visitor numbers range between 15,000 and 25,000, and average over 20,000 per day during the peak recruitment months.
The Gradcracker 5-Year Club is unique in student recruitment. The minimum entry requirement is that a company has advertised on Gradcracker for at least 5 years. Many members have exceeded that requirement by advertising ever since Gradcracker was launched in 2007.
The club numbers over 200 employers and includes the big names in engineering and technology but there are many SMEs and less well-known names too.
Who's in the 5-year club?Gradcracker builds and manages Company Hubs on behalf of its employers.
Each Company Hub is home to a wide range of information about the company – from its culture and benefits to its current opportunities, employee profiles, videos and any other material that will help to attract and inform potential candidates.
Employers are provided with a Dashboard which carries a wide range of statistical data regarding student interaction with their Hub.
View All EmployersGradcracker has close relationships with its employers and has therefore acquired detailed knowledge of what individual employers look for in candidates. It calls upon this knowledge to help its students put together high-quality applications.
In the Gradcracker Career Centre, students can find advice from Gradcracker and its employers on how to be successful in their job hunting.
Visit the Gradcracker Career CentreGradcracker regularly hosts hour-long, live webinars with its employers. These typically feature a senior recruiter and three recent graduates and are led by two Gradcracker directors.
The purpose of Gradcracker's webinars is to give students an insight into a particular company and the industry that it operates in. Discussions can cover a range of topics, such as the application process, training and development, and a graduate's typical day.
It's not unusual for over 1,500 students, career advisors and other employers to watch a live Gradcracker webinar. Tens of thousands more have viewed the recordings, which are uploaded to the 'Previous Webinars' section of the website and the employer's Company Hub.
