Neil Anderson

Principal Engineer

Neil received a MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Sustainable Development from the University of Birmingham in 2009. After gaining valuable experience from numerous engineering roles, Neil was employed by engineering partnership Troup Bywaters + Anders for five years from 2013.

Neil joined Skelly & Couch in 2018 and has worked on a variety of projects, including the delivery of the masterplan for the City of London Freemen’s School, which involved several phases and includes infrastructure upgrade works, the refurbishment of the Grade II*-listed house and an extension to the existing sports hall and changing rooms.

Neil’s work on the main house included surveying the existing building and establishing service routes and penetrations though the listed fabric; and working with the architect to devise methods to improve the integration of the new MEP services within the building. The masterplan also delivers a clubhouse for the Old Freemen’s Association, as well as a new swimming pool, which won a RIBA South East Sustainability Award.
