Job Description

Primary duties will include:

  • Operate and maintain Evergreen’s Pilot Equipment projects on water and wastewater plants
  • Conduct and oversee water and wastewater sampling activities
  • Prepare, calibrate, operate and maintain equipment and instruments on site
  • Conduct quality control analysis of water and wastewater
  • Deliver samples to the lab for analysis
  • Analyse lab results
  • Report writing
  • Reporting analyses to Site Manager or Director
  • Communicate and liaise directly with our clients and build strong working relationships
  • Assist in process commissioning
  • Understand Water Process and develop methods to improve Site Operations.

Please note that this role is both during and after the initial induction period, a field-based position with time also being spent in the Hinckley Head Office.

About you

A Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent is essential with any experience gained (Post graduate or placement) in a similar role within the Wastewater industry would be advantageous. It is expected that industry training will need to be provided to a certain level.

Must be reliable, self-motivated and hardworking with good attention to detail, excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and a demonstrable willing to learn.

Must be practical (there will be a need to clean and take things apart and reassemble) , a good problem solver and able to use own initiative. Ambition and driven to succeed are essential.

You will need a full clean driving license as travel and overnight stays (mid-week only) are a pre-requisite for this position.

  • Expenses will be paid for overnight stays.
  • Salary: £24,000 to £26,000 + access to a Company Vehicle for the right candidate.
  • Annual Leave: 25 days' holiday per year plus UK Bank Holidays
