What does your role in Kingspan involve?

As a project engineer I am involved in all aspects of delivering projects successfully. This means I must liaise with every department to ensure everything runs as it should. Frequent communication with design, commercial, production, procurement, transport and finance is required. Site visits are a great way to get information on the ground and see how everything is going firsthand. It is very satisfying to see all the hard work paying off in the form of a completed project.

What is the most interesting project you have been involved in since you joined?

Powergate – the world’s first 5 story data centre in London. This is being delivered at incredible pace and watching it go up while playing a small part in it has been very rewarding.

What prompted you to apply to Kingspan?

I really liked what the graduate programme had to offer. It was clear that Kingspan wanted to invest in us as individuals and teach us valuable leadership skills to set us up for successful careers.

What was your experience of the Kingspan graduate recruitment process?

Good. I felt it was challenging and engaging.

Have you any tips for someone else thinking of applying to Kingspan?

Be yourself and try to think outside the box. Lean into your strengths and leverage them during the group interview.

Looking back, what qualities and behaviours do you think you displayed during the recruitment process which made you a good fit for Kingspan?

I think I gave a good account of myself by just being open and honest. I wasn’t afraid to speak my mind during the group exercise.
