Our Spring Open Days

Our Spring Open Days are designed to help you explore a career in commercial law, and gain an insight into life as a lawyer at Slaughter and May.

During the day, you will have the opportunity to hear from partners, associates and trainees about their experiences of working at the firm, learn about one of our recent transactions and find out more about what we are looking for in the application and interview process for our summer work experience schemes and training contract.

Our 2027 spring open days will take place in person in our London office on the following dates:

  • 23 March 2027
  • 1 April 2027
  • 7 April 2027

Who can apply?

Our Spring open days are for law and non-law students in the first year of their undergraduate degree or in the second year of a four-year undergraduate degree.

If you are in your first year of an accelerated two-year law degree, please apply for our summer work experience schemes.

We welcome applications irrespective of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, gender reassignment, age, religion/belief or marital status.

Entry Requirements

  • A-levels: AAB (not including EPQ) or equivalent.

If you do not meet these requirements due to mitigating circumstances which materially impacted your results, please include details of this on your application. All applications are considered on their own merits.

How to apply

To apply, you will be asked to complete an online application form and attach a CV and cover letter.

Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and Inclusion is an integral part of how we do things as a firm. We believe that a supportive and inclusive workplace drives collaboration and helps people perform at their best. We are looking to employ the brightest minds regardless of what or where they studied, and we strive to ensure that people feel comfortable being themselves at work through fostering an inclusive culture which values diversity of experience and perspective.

Can I use AI to apply?

We understand that AI tools like ChatGPT can be useful, however, we strongly advise you not to copy and paste AI-generated text into your application.

Your application should be written in your own words. AI-generated responses often lack the personal insight and authenticity that we value. Applications that feel generic and lack originality are less likely to be successful.
