The Opportunity

Halma's emerging talent leadership development programme with 2.8 years of customised training and project rotations in Halma companies and support towards securing a permanent job opportunity. Relocation and some travel is involved for rotational placements & residential training modules.

Halma is looking for talented individuals with a Bachelors degree or higher in a technical, engineering or science field and right-to-work privileges in the UK, who have the potential to be future leaders of our businesses. This leadership development program offers full-time, salaried employment starting with 2.8 years training. Trainees will be given 32 months of rotational placements, with responsibility for completing challenging projects at our operating companies and business units. Projects will be in innovative, technical, operational, strategic and commercial areas, providing the trainee with wide range of experience early on in their career.

The programme includes: 

  • Local UK based project placements 
  • Possibility for one placement overseas in the USA or Europe
  • A personalised programme tailored to candidates' needs and skills 
  • Commercial, operations, technical, innovation and digital literacy training 

In addition, we support trainees with residential training modules and mentoring. At the end of the training period, successful trainees will be supported to work towards securing a permanent position, aligned with their aspirations, at one of our operating companies.

Role Responsibilities

Example projects you could expect to participate in or lead aspects of:

  • Operations: Production or supply chain improvement, lean implementation, and management experience
  • Product development: Project management, identifying market requirements, VoC, design, and new product launch
  • Commercial: Market research, prospect conversion, channel management, business development, and sales.
  • Strategy: Strategic development, business modelling, org design, M&A, finance, talent, and culture.

About You

Halma is looking for talented individuals with a Bachelor’s degree or higher, in a STEM-related field, and have the potential to develop toward a company leadership role. We will consider other education backgrounds for exceptional talent.

We want exceptional high-calibre, results-driven talent who have insatiable curiosity, rounded interests, is great at building relationships and navigating networks. Our SME operating companies run lean so we need people who are resourceful and resilient.

We are looking for people with lots of enthusiasm and energy to drive results towards Halma’s purpose.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • High achievements in education and extracurricular activities (sports, arts, adventure)
  • Work experience or internships.
