About the Role
Telent, part of M Group, is a leading technology company and specialist in the design, build, support and management of the UK’s critical digital infrastructure.
We’re looking for a Graduate Networking Engineer to join Telent’s Highways Division, where you will apply your existing knowledge and skills working on real projects, whilst learning new skills along the way.
You’ll gain practical experience working on a range of projects across the Highways Network. You’ll also be able to progress your continuous professional development and become IET accredited.
This role will require flexibility to meet the customer needs, so it will be a hybrid role with a blend of office based, home working and some site-based activity.

What you'll be doing:
Work on live projects alongside experienced Engineers
Provide Level 3 remote technical support across network and management platforms, coordinating with NOC, operations, vendors and customers
Develop and support DevOps tooling and automation, and orchestration technology
Lead Innovation Projects from designing, building solutions, testing and implementation
Scope new requirements and develop the technical documentation
Manage network devices and systems, including configuration, integration testing, upgrades patching and release activities
Manage capacity of network
Test network changes in controlled environment
Apply patches and upgrades in accordance with the change management process
Maintain the network documentation and keep records updated

What you'll bring
We’re looking for a recent Graduate that has studied Network Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or are due to graduate this year)
A strong understanding and genuine interest of Networking, Internet Protocols and cyber security
A flair for solving complex technical issues
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with proven team working and leadership abilities
Self-motivation, able to work on your own initiative and under pressure
Practical use of Microsoft Office applications
Full UK/EU Driving Licence
