I Joined Morgan Crucible in 2008 as an Applications Engineer for the Morgan Engineered Materials Division. I graduated from the University of Surrey with a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering and went on to gain an MSc with Distinction for Nanotechnology and Nanoelectronic Devices. I joined Morgan Crucible straight after. I spent my first 6 months with the company in South Carolina, in the USA, working as part of Morgan’s newly established Solar Team. After my time in South Carolina I relocated to Luxembourg in Europe where I became a part of the European Solar team, learning the dynamics of the European market. Half a year later I returned to the States to work as a Process Engineer in Ohio, where I was exposed to the production capability of our entire Solar product portfolio. I spent time actively refining processes and learning in-depth details about all our product range.
On any regular day I speak with my Asian, European and American colleagues. I regularly visit China, Taiwan, Korea, Germany, Hungary and all over the USA working on customer project development, applications engineering support and product development. In my career with Morgan Crucible, I have developed skills and had exposure to many learning opportunities that would be difficult to find with other companies. I was treated as though I had a lot to contribute from day one. The company has given my career a flying head start and I really enjoy my job!
