Gradcracker Summary:
The BBC needs STEM students to compete in an ever-growing and technology-based market, and we found out what it was like to work behind the scenes – in software and broadcast engineering, as well as research & development.
We learnt that the BBC isn’t as London-centric as you might think. There’s also a more local, regional level to the organisation, with opportunities to work in Salford, Glasgow, and Belfast too.
With no ideal candidate, the organisation encourages its people to be themselves. It is looking for people who can guide the BBC into the future with new ideas and fresh ways of doing things. And if you’re not sure if the BBC is for you, we suggest you give this webinar a watch…
(Due to technical issues, India, one of the graduates, isn’t visible in the recording, but luckily we were still able to hear about her experiences.)
Here’s one of the many kind comments we received…
"Just a quick note to say that it was great! It was so good to hear more about the graduates' personal experiences – they all had lots of interesting and engaging things to say! Thanks to Carla and Jess for this opportunity." – Rachel Fiddes, Resourcing & Talent Advisor, Schemes & Assessments at the BBC
