Sheffield Hallam Formula Student Society (SHU Racing)

SHU Racing is a Formula Student team run by a selection of masters year engineers who lead the team in the direction of innovation and development. Over the space of the academic year, the team designs, manufactures and races a single seater race car in competition with universities across the world, aiming to be the fastest car on track.

The team consists of over 50 members ranging from foundation to masters level, and the continuous development opportunities allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge into real world scenarios, working in diverse teams on exciting projects.

Last season we placed 19th overall, coming runners up in the costing and manufacturing event.

Recently we've partnered up with the SHU Business School to consult on our business and marketing projects.

The team teaches CFD and CAD to students of all levels.

We have alumni in graduate jobs at several F1 teams.
