What will you be doing?

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical design for panels, utilising EPLAN software and possessing knowledge of PLC systems.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Designing electrical panels using EPLAN software.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure designs meet project requirements.
  • Generating electrical schematics, layouts, and panel drawings.
  • Assisting in the selection of electrical components and materials.
  • Supporting the integration of PLC systems into panel designs.
  • Conducting design reviews and providing technical support as needed.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. (Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design, with real experience in panel design.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN software is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems and their integration into electrical designs.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Automotive experience is considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
